- How is a patch different from a vial?
- It is a delivery format, not a different product category. A patch is a pre-loaded adhesive carrier applied to the skin — nothing to reconstitute, no diluent, no cold chain. A vial is lyophilised material that has to be prepared before laboratory work. The format is the whole of the difference; it implies nothing about what any ingredient does.
