A short research-handling guide for L-carnitine. For laboratory and research use only.
Amino-acid derivative central to mitochondrial fatty-acid transport; used in metabolism research.
L-carnitine is supplied as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder. Reconstitute it before research use. Recommended diluent: bacteriostatic water.
Example: 10 ml of diluent in this 600 mg vial gives 60,000 mcg/ml.
Keep lyophilized vials frozen and out of light. Once reconstituted, refrigerate (2–8 °C) and use within a few weeks. Always use sterile technique.
For laboratory and research use only. Not for human or veterinary use, food, or drug applications.
